You can't just fit 4 stacked in 2s in the rear? I did that in my a4 and they were 17x8.

You can fit 4 in the rear, or 3 in the rear and 1 in the trunk. They don't really stack 2 tall and 2 wide, but if you put them all standing straight up they fit just fine.

Of course that's probably dependent on how tall you are, I'm fairly average at 5'10"ish. Put something down on the seats to protect them. Actually, remove the rear bench if you can, it will give you more space anyway and its really easy to remove and install.

I've fit 4 in the rear seat before, granted I'm not all the tall, so my seat is closer than some, but two and two stacked on the rear seat fit fine. Plenty of room between my seat back and the wheels.

I've fit 4 rims in the car before. Granted mine didn't have rubber on them but you can definitely still make it work.

Good luck

4 fit very easily in the rear seating area. Bag em up slide your front seats forward put a tire on the floor behind each, slide the seats back all the way then put the other 2 on the rear seats. There's plenty of room for me and I'm 6'1". Done it 100 times going to track days with 255/40 rubber mounted and the rear seats still look like brand new.

You can fit two stockish wheels in the trunk. I had a system down to put 4 stock enkies with 245/45/17 R-comps (larger than stock..probably around 25.5" rolling diameter?), jack, jack stand, tools, etc in my car for my autox weekends.

Put one tire off center (I put it on the right side of the trunk. The other tire will be placed diagonally on top of it. It's a really tight fit and will touch the top of the trunk, but works. I would then place the other tires behind the front seats on the floorboards. Then, I would place a couple of towels on them so that they wouldn't mess up the interior. It, too, was a really tight fit when you closed the door...but again..it worked after you figured out the orientation. I liked them in the floorboard instead of on the backseats just in case I got in an accident, I wouldn't have them launching.

Again...it's trial and error but works. Now, if you are trying to fit a 285 tire or something that has a 26" diameter, this probably won't work.

Can't you just place them on end in a row along the back seat?

I have fit 4 245/45/17 standing on the tread in the back seats (wrapped in plastic of course), a rifle in a full case in front of the back seats on the floor, a whole set of fluids and tools on the floor, and blankets plus jackets. I still had room for much much more. Not quite sure how 255 or wider will fair.

Oh and I forgot to mention, I'm 6' and was comfortable driving across the US in this style.
