How durable is the stock clutch on an EVO8?

I'm curious as to how many miles i'm gonna get out of this clutch, and how much it costs to replace. someone told me that the stock clutches have alot of slip, to insure that the tranny doesn't get too much shock from hard starts. They also told me that this causes them to dissipate alot faster. Is this true? Any info. would be appreciated. Thanks

Az3, my dealer has a customer with over 36,000 on the original and still fine. He claims he drives it normal and does not abuse it. It will and should last a decent lifespan if driven properly. We don't know it's limits when driven normal yet.

I have about 16k on mine, the car has been a test mule for several different modifications and the stock clutch is still holding.. I honestly think that how long the clutch lasts is directly a result of driving style.. I'm by no means an expert driver, but I don't slip the clutch, ride it, or do high-rpm launches (though I can do a real nice 1.6x launch at the track without doing a clutch drop)

a clutch should last up to 10000 miles atleast in some cases. all my older cars did. with EVO it wont go above 30 to 40 because its not made to last.
