What have some of you guys seen modded evos going for out there?
I have Tarmac with 20k miles
Eibach springs, Rear Strut bar, Defi Boost Gage, Boost Controler, SAFCII, K&N drop in filter, 272/272 cams, Walbro Fuel Pump, AMS Upgraded 700 sized injectors, AMS FMIC, AMS 3inch Turbo back, Exedy Hyper single Clutch, Vis Carbon trunk, B&m Short shift kit evo7 tails, 6k in stereo with custom install

I am trying to figure out what the thing is really worth,, I know the quirk answer is what ever some one will pay for it,

IF YOU HAVE SEEN OTHER MODDED EVOS SOLD, WHAT DID THEY GO FOR?

 

i know you don't want to hear this but the mods don't add nothing to the car as far as resale. i have seen evo's with mods similar to yours gor for around 25-26k. if i was in the market, i would have given you 28k because i know what it is like to lose your *** on a car. you can also try to part it out and make up some of the money like that. i am sure you won't have any problem selling that stuff (hell, i would pick up a couple of things from you )

Hey man...i notice you're from Chicago...why are you thinking of selling your Evo? honestly send me a pm...i'm a bit concerned bc i was thinking of selling my STi for an Evo and mod it and have fun with it. but i see you've modded yours and had it for about 20k miles...are you experiencing any problems? clutch, tranny, engine? please let me know...bc alot of Evo owners are now selling their modded Evos within the year.

one of my aquaintances(murdered spelling on that) just traded in his evo yesterday for a TSX... dealer didnt even test drive the thing...didnt notice that his cf wing is gone and my wing was on his car didnt notice that the stock 3rd brake light wasnt there...hell i should have traded him seats and steering wheel and they gave him 23k for it so...oh and the tranny was shot...so yeah...
if people were wanting to take a risk on a moded evo then yeah maybe 26-28k ...i personally wouldnt buy a moded one...might as well buy a new one

 

Better to break out the mods that are easy to uninstall and sell them separately. They command 40-60% of what you paid that way, as opposed to 20% or less on the car. Plenty of people would ****** up your AMS equipment and electronics.

Stock or near-stock ones are up for sale around $24-26k. I think that is reasonable for a low-miles example. I would think yours is going to get closer to $22-24k private party, maybe $20-22k from a dealer.

 

I'd like to save some $$ and get a used one, but a modded one just screams "I've been abused" even if it hasn't been. I'm selling my Integra, but parting every aftermarket part off first--they're worth more separate from the car.
