185k mileage too much for an evo 8?!

So I need help with the thought of buying an evo 8 with 185k (highway) miles. I haven't really seen evo's that high up in mileage, but wanted to make sure of it for sure. The guys has kept it pretty much stock and the car looks well maintained. He isn't asking for much considering I'm an old friend, but can I get some advice? Would really appreciate it!

Expect a lot of maintenance costs. Rather worth saving up for a good evo around the 20k mark and be headache free. But there are a lot of threads/topics about high mileage evos, should check them out.

simpley go to the search function, click "search titles only" and then enter "high mileage evo" and a bunch of topics will show up...but they basically all say the same thing. Things like making sure 60k service was done. Look for tcase wines, rod knocking, tranny rebuilds can be very pricy. And these are the things likely to go first on a high mileage evo.

The miles are not what matters though with older cars more stuff ends up failing. If the maintenance was kept up to date and well kept. I'd go for it I bought mine in 08 with 100k I have 150k now and minus a broke tooth in 1st. It was just basic interval stuff.
