Knock sound on pull

Hello everyone!

First of all, I want to wish everyone an happy near year, health, happiness and whatever each of you need! :P

Please, don't be too hard on me on the spelling mistakes and bad grammar, english isn't my first language.

I hear a knock sound when I pull my car, I searched for it but didn't find any infos about it. It's not a knocking rod I will give infos about my problem below.

Here are some infos:

- I hear the knock only on medium and hard acceleration, I can hear it on 1-2-3 (once on each gear) like if something is moving.

- It come from the front, probably from the left.

- I once get alligned my car and the mecanician said my handling stuff was good

- When I roll really slow on gravel, I hear that knock sound *repeatidly* (knock knock knock) <-- Whose there?

It's all infos I think of at the moment. If I have more I will let you know. It feels like something is moving when it shouldn't... But why? I love it when it's tight, I expect my car to be tight too.

As a new guy in the world of mechanic I had some thought which may seem idiot lol

Axle (But I don't hear a grinding sound when I'm turning)
Motor mount (Dry bushing?)

Waiting for thought and ideas,

Have a great day!

~ Alex

I forgot to mention, the car is currently stored. The sound isn't that loud too so I dont think you would hear it.

It only knock once.

I push on gaz,
Car start taking acceleration,
Knock,
Keep accelerating (no knock),
Gaz off,
Switch gear,
Push on gaz,
Car start taking acceleration,
Knock,
Keep accelerating (no knock),
Gaz off,
Switch gear,
Push on gaz,

Goes like that.

Yeah sorry man never had that problem. Would be helpful if you had a video. I had broke tooth on one of my gears and it was pretty damn annoying.

so when the torque sets in you here a clunk? i would check the front and rear transmission mounts and the trans brace... the front mount has a tiny tiny bolt that "semi" holds the trans steady but could easily slip being this old.. and the rear mount isn't as bad but the same...

several other things could be an issue but those seem to be a decent place to start...

to clarify my last post, it most likely is the bolt that popped off so your mount is disconnected and is the reason for why your motor moves back and forth making that knock. simple quick fix, its a huge bolt cant miss it

Definitely could be the motor mount, do you notice a difference in the performance of the car? Does it still pull strong? What you've described makes me think that it has nothing to do with the motor internally.

Nah no difference on the performance. It's just VERY annoying.

Any information about where is located this motor mount? If you tell me it's unmissable I might find it though :P

Your best bet is gonna be to download a manual for the car, or use a service like Alldatadiy. A good way to tell if its a mount, go pop your hood and grab your engine and try to rock it back and forth. If it move around easily you definitely have an issue with your mounts.
