ER knows what they are doing, evos come stock with 19psi, and easily take the pressure and having 1kcc injectors you'll be fine. although if you just got the car i would get a comprssion test just to be sure.... oh and welcome to the EVO world. and EVOm.net !

English is a HELL so f a shop they know what they're doing. There's many Evos running 30+psi on stock blocks.

right on!!.. yea ive honestly just been going by word of mouth and im just extending my concern.. these cars rip and im absolutely in love with the way they feel/run..anyways I was thinking of calling English racing and seeing if my car is in there documents or files or "whatever" and possibly get a good understanding of my car .. I drive this car daily and ive experienced similar power through previous cars so im ok with turning the power down a little I just get nervous when I put 27 pounds through it

If you have head studs then you should be fine... Does it taper down at all?

You are fine. They usually don't like to run more than 28psi on pump gas. Go ahead and give Myles a call at English and they can look it up for you (license plate) and get you squared away. If you're in the northwest, I suggest you join the FB group NW Evos

Did you end up selling your Nissan Silvia? Those are cool cars to drive. I drove my friend's 1997 Nissan Silvia and since then, Ive always wished I could find a nice one to own. Not to build and race, but just to drive around. The car is fun on its own stock, and even better with a stock SR20 swapped in.

Anyway. welcome to the forums and enjoy owning your new car!

its got 272 cams so when lets say you drop from 4k rpms in heavy traffic (5pm free way traffic) multiple times I can tell you it gets a little fussy with me lol if that makes sense.. but normal driving and normal downshifting ect car runs amazing absolutely amazing.. idles as it should, pulls hard, no cuts, feels healthy

stock sr20s running 10lbs are amazing!!!! I mean not nearly as fast as and evo but I will always love a 240 if its done (correctly) I say the seriously because 80% are done cheap and by inexperienced mechanics, but (if done right) if its got all suspension done, stock sr on 10lbs,kaaz 2 way= really fun car let me ad some wheels in there and maybe some tasteful interior mods.
