Evo 9 Engine sputtering when cold, need Help please!!!

All, I own a 2006 evo 9 MR, last winter i started having an issue with the car where i would start it up, and then start driving, but once i got about 500 feet the car starts sputtering (the rpms jump from 1200 up too 2000 and then down to 300 and over and over again, even sounds like back firing) and it does this till the car is warm. I know this is vague, but literally once the car is running awhile its great, but i dont have 5-10 minutes everyday to warm it up and make it to work on time.

I thought it was something with ignition or fuel so i replaced the plugs, checked coil packs, ran bg44k through the car, but its still having this issue. Im not getting any engine codes at all.

I spoke with my local tuner and he couldn't really figure anything out, so i was thinking maybe get the car professionally tuned and it could fix the issue or he would find an issue during the tune, he didn't find anything. The car put down beautiful numbers, 328whp and 380lbs of torque @ 25lbs of boost, im getting 28 mpg highway and about 20 city.

the kicker is the car only has these issues during the winter. Summer runs fine and no issues at all

My mods:

Arc intake
3 inch exhaust with test pipe
Forge boost controller
Walbroh 255 fuel pump

Not sure if previous owner did anything to the car....

anyone have any ideas or suggestions what could be going wrong?

Thanks

I always let my IX warm up before I drive it. It just comes with the territory. If I try to just get in and go it does the same thing. Bogs down and almost stalls out. In the morning I just run out and start it before I get all my stuff together. I hear it's better for your turbo in the long run.

You sir, need to wake up earlier and let the evo run before driving.

Damn, I was hoping by the time I got to the bottom of the page, I would have found a solution.

I'm dealing with the same thing and it's annoying.

The solution is let your evo warm up before you drive it.

Check/replace spark plugs, boost/vacuum leak test. Do those and go from there.
