Weird Issue

An issue I noticed when driving my car and shifting it feels like when I dis-engage the clutch it feels like it's pulling to the left. I did notice a slight banging sound from the steering column area but I checked and I dont have any lose mounts or missing bolts. Any ideas of where I could search? I know it's going to be something where a bolt has come out and disappeared just having trouble finding where.

Does the car pull to the left with your hands off the wheel?

Is this under acceleration, deceleration, coasting etc.?

Does it happen at all speeds?

Just as an immediate safety check, I'd be sure your wheels are mounted FLUSH with the hubs, and the tires are inflated to the proper pressures.

Could have a broken belt in the tire or possibly a alignment issue.

What's weird is it does the pulling under acceleration. If I screw up with driving the car and when it bucks I can hear what it sounds like metal on metal banging on the drivers side. But I did check pressure, wheels and all they look good.

That's a great idea I'll definitely check that. My only thing I can think of is that the bolts come lose from the solid front mount. I noticed before it started to pull like that, when I hit bumps it would rattle but not pull or anything.

I just had major surgery on my front end because the nuts on the front bolts on the wishbones corroded and I could not get the bolts out... so I pulled everything out (by cutting the front subframe, no less) and in the process discovered the source of the weird knock I had in the front suspension.. one of the two rear bolts mentioned.. In fact it was so bad that the hole became elongated and I had movement in the right wishbone.. MAKE SURE you cove those bolts in lots and lotos of grease.. copper grease works a treat..
