Very Weird Issue with EVO X.
Hello,
My Evo X has been acting a little strange lately. For the past 2 weeks or so I have noticed some light flickering after I push my Evo, the light flickering is something that comes and goes. Last week when I would start my car I would notice my car and radio would reset itself kinda when you remove your negative terminal and reconnect it. I haven't noticed any rough start or idle. My car feels like it runs great. Yesterday when I got off work my car did not start at all. My lights wont come on key would turn but no sign of life, if like my battery wasn't even there. So I automatically assume my battery was dead BTW I have a red top optima battery. I took my battery to get tested but voltage was good and the battery had 91% charge left I re installed my battery and still nothing. At this point I had no idea, I got a ride from a buddy and I commenced to do some research and found that maybe one of my fuses or relays could be blown. So the next day I tried to start my car and nothing. I took the adventure of looking at my fuses, could not find a bad fuse. So I started moving fuses around to double check, IDK why I did this but I guess I was curious I installed a 30A fuse to the Power gate slot under the hood and magically my car started I have seen in various pictures where EVO X's don't even come with this fuse??? I was able to drive my car back home with no issues. So I decided to do some troubleshooting I removed the 30A fuse and the car is working just fine. I still have the flickering problem and when I turn on my headlights it intensifies, also my idle seems a bit affected. My car has basic bolt ons, upgraded clutch and a mild tune I do have an 1000 what amp and 2 twelves which I have removed. I will be getting my alternator tested tomorrow. Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas??? Thanks

I suspect you have a short/grounding problem. Check your grounding strap, but I bet it won't be that easy. It might be a problem in the fuse box such that when you installed the 30A fuse the pressure of the installation connected the ground an the car started. Drive it and the vibration causes it to come loose.
I'm just guessing but you might start by checking that box connection(s).
