Evo 9 O2 sensors

Looking to replace both pre-cat and post-cat sensors, did some search and the only ones that come up are the OEM sensors which cost about 400 dollars each, which is unexpectedly ridiculously high priced.

Does anyone know a better solution to this, what aftermarket sensors fit a 2006 Evo ? Thanks in advance.

They definitely aren't that much. I can't recall off the top of my head, but if you head into your local auto store... they should have some options. iirc about $100 a piece.

Out of curiosity... why are you changing these sensors?

oxygensensors.com looks like they have the replacements for much better price, does anyone have any issues with the quality of the Walker sensors?

For the narrowband o2 grab a Universal Bosch from Oreillys, Advance, Autozone, etc.

All of them are okay except for the Denso with the shiny black cover over the wires. My tuner won't tune with one of those because he said they're way to inconsistent.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure you can not use widebands with the ECU, only for AFR gauges and logging purposes.

This is correct, the ecu does not understand a widebands output. What you can do though is use the simulated narrowband output that alot of widebands have and wire that in place of a narrowband.

I just got my car tune by English racing. I found out my o2 sensor is bad and he told me to buy it from napa or oreillys and get the one from a 95 through 99 eclipse. Get the oem plug one and Not the universal one! I will buy mine tomorrow and post the part number.

Use the rear O2 eliminator patch, unplug it and call it a day.

You really don't even need the patch actually. Just turn the rear o2 off in the periphery bits and call it a day. To be honest I'm really really surprised you would have to replace the rear o2 sensor as I've never heard of one going bad and it doesn't effect closed loop or open loop fueling for that matter. Just a stupid cat monitor sensor. Pointless....

My shop told me the same thing and it works perfectly actually. Same exact sensor except the wires are longer so you have to ziptie the extra wire up but other then that it works like oem.
