Anyone know a good place to take an evo to get tuned, im around the dallas, texas area.. the check engine light flashes at high rpms. I did find a couple vacuum leaks i got those back in place and checked all the pipings and seems to be on there tight. Help!!

 

generally means you're getting knock. stay out of high load until you get it looked at

 

The check engine light flashes at high rpm but doesn't stay on? Tephra rom? I thought the SRS light flashed when knocking but I guess it could be the cel instead.

Don't live in TX cannot help you there. Evolution Dynamics is there though. That dude shells out some nice work

 

Knock = Detonation/Pre-ignition. Usually caused by a poor tune. Most of the time people set up the ECU to have the CEL flash when it recognizes "knock".

Yep, had my tuner set it up the same way. Have it checked out by a tuner

 

At least you know. A lot of jerk offs don't turn it on. Its nice to know.

 

The flashing CEL means you're at risk of damaging the catalytic converter or knock. Regardless, something isn't right...

 

Good way of looking at it I guess. Better than "My Engine Blew a week after purchase" threads! :}
