Hey Everyone,

So I am researching some parts for my car. I was looking into low temp thermostats and I found one that Mishimoto Offers for our car it is a 63deg Thermostat. Does anyone run a low temp thermo? if so are there any downsides to this? and what are the benefits? I daily drive my evo year round too.

The real question is why do you think you need this and what do you see as supposed benefits?

To address your question, it very well could effect your afr and when your car switches open and closed loop depending on the cooling effects it has, if any.

 

DD? just stick to the OEM. It works fine.

 

You don't need anything other than OEM unless you have crazy power and run the car on track for long periods. 63 degrees is worthless, might as well not run a thermostat (don't do that).
