I must say this is something that has been debatable for quite some time now. There have been many side to side comparisons and on a personal level I would have to say Evo is the only way to go. I don't mind having both but ill take the evo everytime

Haven't had the pleasure of driving an STI. What makes you choose the Evo?

Everything haha from performance to handling. Then again the opinion is sort of bias as the evo is built compared to a stock STI. Also I haven't driven the evo in a few months it just seems easier to work with and the quality is better imo.

It's not a bad car at all, but you're not missing out on anything. Don't feel obligated to test drive one.

I had both at the same time. My wife and I have had a 2010 wrx, a 2007 wrx, a 2004 sti and the 2003 evo. We had the sti and evo at the same time and now only the evo.

The sti had a Clark turner stage 2 tune, turbo back exhaust, intake, catless.

The evo had similar, turbo back, intake, ic upgrade and some mild cams. Also hotchkis springs.

I honestly felt the sti was sloppy and boring feeling once I got the evo dialed in tuning wise, once on e85, there is no comparison. The sti would have cost $1000's to get to the point of the evo.

Handling the evo is just more crisp and precise, feel more connected. Turning radius sucks!!! Hahaha. Also all my subarus new and old had rattles and creaks from dash door panels, etc....

I do miss the exhaust note though.....

I couldn't agree with this more, spot on. The STI's seem to be way more expensive to mod.
