E85 is indeed the reason people don't do it.
There's a rumor that MN laws are changing as far as E85 that may cripple sales here, so I'm researching alky myself. The Aquamist kits are very good, just do some searching on here and you'll find all the info you could want.

Jet selection is based upon fuel replacement. The percentage you want to replace is roughly based on the ratio of water/metanol. There is some good information on Howerton Engineering's website.
I love my HFS -3 kit. I only use Aquamist though.

i was trying to interpret the whole system. but if i am not using the entire injector it makes the decision of jet size difficult. i have id2000 but id ont think im near close to using the whole injector lol
I also run alcohol based on the fact that e85 isn't in my neck of the woods. I run the Aquamist HFS-3 also and its awesome . I run id 1000's and with alky my idc's are at about 75% so your injectors would barely be pushed I guess? Like someone mentioned earlier the aquamist works with your ecu and adjusts to how much fuel is needed I believe based on idc's and ipw's, someone correct me if I'm wrong. The car will need tuning obviously. I use the run the smc alcohol kit and it can't even compare to the Aquamist. My afr's would vary and get richer in the warmer months where as the Aquamist seems to keep it pretty consistent to what it was tuned for. HTH
stock ecu and runs perfect, I would love to run a aem but don't want to swap back every time I have to go to emissions . Though I'm sure it would work flawless with the aem .
