Fun track car and you're looking for something other than an Evo... Older Porsche 911 or a C5 Z06. Both have huge aftermarket backing

Just playin.. Try getting an sti, supra, integra, k series civic?
I don't think you understand the OP. He's looking for a fun TRACK car. Not a ****ty rice box integra or civic. Also are you suggesting that the sti will make a better track car than an evo? You're weird man.. STI is dope to drop the kids off at school and drive up to the slopes, that's about it. Good luck to you sir.

Here's one of my favorite all time cars. 94-96 300zxTT. Those were the best years of the car before discontinued. Bang for buck not the greatest supra definitely wins if you want to heavily mod for racing but t-tops and the ability to have a bada** drifter is tempting. They are way more prevalent down south. My two cents for what it's worth. Also you don't have to deal with that ridiculous supra wing.

s2000 or Miata (not even joking)...endless aftermarket support, decent options for motor swap if you're into that. Personally, basic LS1 powered making about 350/350 wheel in a sub-3000lb rwd chassis. Instant torque, spinny rear end, v8 surprise nuts in your face? I'll take one. Not an entry level project tho...not sure what your definition of a "project car" is. If you're just looking to have a decent platform to bolt up some power to, I'd suggest a bmw n54 variant. Always liked the e82 just cus its the most compact and stripped down (other than m cars of course). They make nice power but I think people get pretty bored with them in a hurry. Go with a v8 dude
