Picked up this evo last spring for a good price. I always wanted an Evo 9 in GG. Younger brother had an 03 BBY when they first came out and I got to drive it alot. Pretty much tried to pick one up in 05/06 but was denied credit from mitsubishi so I ended up getting an e46 M3 for 7gs more then what the evo cost which doesnt make sense! But here I am full circle and found a clean 9 SE.

Going by all the cars i've had before I can't keep ANYTHING stock or close to it LOL, I had parts for the car even before the title was signed over!

Started this thread because I am building it up on the stock block to see how much it can handle. I could build the motor but I am interested to see how long it will last. My goal is to hit 650WHP on e85. Then over winter ill have the block built and go for moar!

Stock motor is not going to be able to hold together very long at that power, might as well just build it before and save yourself time and money

Why stock block it if you can build. Clearly based on your previous impressive car stable money is not the issue.......Downtime?

 

Just seeing what it can handle and for how long. Pretty much just for my won amusement hoping for it to last atleast this year.
