A little expensive compared to what? I would pay extra for a shop that had knowledge of this platform to be more comfortable if they do something they know what they are doing. Most shops that haven't cut their teeth on this platform eventually get bitten in the @$$ and the owner of the car gets stuck with the bill.

After reading tons of good reviews and plenty of word of mouth referrals I decided to go to boostin. They explained everything they were going to do and why they were doing it. I had a lot of questions and they were extremely patient answering all of them. On top of that they're willing to allow me to drop off and pick up my car on days they were closed. As far as people having problems with their car after work is been done by boostin. I have complete confidence that boostin would have made it right. It's a great shop and super good people.

You have never been a customer, or had any experience with our shop.

Also, you can't tell from looking at a map whether the fuel curve is correct or not. We tune every car here on our Mustang Dyno which has a built in wideband. We also have a permanent record of every tune we do and the exact AFR for every pull done. Not only do we know that every tune that leaves our shop is done properly, we can prove it!

Wrong. I have been to your shop multiple times when my friends brought their cars there. I have never been a customer and never will be. What would I ever need you to do for me? Sure as hell wouldn't be tune. Build my motor? Oh wait, that would be assemble, because you just take the components to a machine shop. Nothing more than a middleman.

Oh my god, you have the AFR for every WOT pull done? That is so cool and completely avoided what I was just talking about. Sure your WOT curve may look spot on, but if your fuel map is flat as ****, I can guarantee the partial throttle ain't pretty and everywhere else too.

Can't look at a fuel map and tell if the curve is right or not? Both cars were basic bolt-ons using the factory MAF on 93 octane at 25-26psi. I'm pretty sure any tuner on here knows what that map should generally look like.

Everything that leaves your shop runs flawlessly? Just like that white IX RS that your friend Joey sold that said the car runs great and Boostin can stand by it? POS could barely idle and would nearly stall every time coming to a stop. It would also intermittently sound like it had different camshafts in it even though it was on the stock cams. Radiator leaked, front o2 sensor was dead (replacing it barely helped), but hey, it ran great at WOT. That's all that matters, right? Charged him like $300 pretty much to do a leakdown test and didn't come to a legitimate conclusion. Oh boy, I want to take my car there!

Do you just assume that everyone is an idiot?

Actually I WAS a customer Boostin. But of course I better not question you guys. Hell, you already gave me an answer to my problem, but your wrong, It was actually the clamp just not being tight. That's why the IC PIPE blew off.

You guys want an example of nickel and diming. I brought an engine for them to repair and they charged me $75 literally for 5 minutes of their time. They had to grab an engine hoist and lift it out of the back of my truck. Too bad I wasn't strong enough to lift it myself I would have saved $75.

On a separate occasion, after spending over $6,000 and paying the bill, I get threatened with storage fees because the car sat there for 6 days. The bill was already paid and arrangements were made with Devin to pick the vehicle up later in the week. But I still get calls from the secretary telling me that I already racked up some storage fees... come on. I spent probably over $10,000 through that year alone, take care of your customers!

I must say though Devin is a cool guy and does some excellent work and personally its all great but business wise they just need to learn how to take care of people besides maybe their loyal guys like the junkbox evo and some other "regulars" there.

I just don't understand how Boostin can just flat out deny everything. How ignorant can you be. People do NOT make these things up. We have nothing against the shop. Mistakes happen and instead of manning up to the problem you just ignore them and act like you cant make errors.

i actully bought an evo form a guy in ohio who got it tuned by boostin had a mystery code for intake camshaft was an evo 9 ,devin told him the car was fine the way it was, im like dude, they have shop cars that make 700 hp with no lights on and you have a stock motor 450hp evo thats not right, so i finally diagnosed the whole car changed out couple parts and found out the mivec cam was bad, i just dont like to hear stuff like that ,the car will be fine. Personally i think the best tuner in illinois is Adam who owed devo tuning, was the first to tune high hp dsm's and will give you straight up answers, even ams wanted him to be their main tuner but denied them.

I know several people that have gone to Strictly (including myself) and all have had good experiences with them. Eric (Strictly's owner) is a stand up guy and I've never heard anyone say anything bad about him. You can't go wrong going to Strictly

+1 on strictly. Eric is a perfectionist, not a bad trait to have imo. They don't halfass anything there. He spent all day doing my clutch because of rusted pressure plate bolts. But he got all the old ones out and did it the right way. And I wasn't charged extra for all the extra wrench time he had to put in.

This thread is about someone asking for opinions on the named shops. Not sure why you guys are acting like it's illegal for someone to post a negative review. If that was their experience then they have every right to tell the OP about it since that's what he asked for.

I only said that b/c it wasn't his personal experience, he was just talking chit about a shop because he heard some things from his friend, but skyline actually came in and cleared it up.
