Question Adding a front aftermarket bumper

let's say if someone adds a gialla or c-west front bumper,
wouldn't the extra front downforce at front throw off the overall balance of the car? shouldn't the real spoiler also be replaced?

Maybe a bit but not as much as those carnads some people put on the front for more down force. And if you wanted you could always adjust your rear wing for more or less down force. It has three positions.
But honestly your not going to notice anything unless your doing 80mph and up and spend a lot of time on the track.I think the EVO is a great looking ride and changing too much would only distract the eye from it's beautifull lines. Put the money on some more go-faster parts.

Might want to do alittle homework on both of those bumpers. They were raced before they ever made it to production cars so if they had problems with aerodynamics they would have never made it to the streets.

Our Evo 8 wing has a fixed AOA (angle of attack). You're thinking of the Evo 7 wing, which was adjustible.

But you're right about the effect of swapping front bumpers. It should have a negligable effect on downforce until you get up to 100 mph or so. So it won't make a noticable difference for most people.

okay, now I know, thanks for all the replies.... I know for Le Mans cars aerodynamics play a huge role, I've seen the 911porsche filpped in the air about five or six times because of downforce imbalance, and so did the CLK-GTR... that is why I asked the question

Guys lets be realistic here -these are styling mods, not true aero mods. True aerodynamically designed front bumpers do not cost $1k and less.......

You will not notice any changes in the handling of your car with any of these bumpers - consider them as a styling mod only

Ya lol its not a F1 car. It is mainly for styling and some have the effect of better cooling to the engine .

now that's what I hate about manufacturers, I think accolade advertised something like 25-30% more downforce than stock, but then they never say how that affects the handling of the car, but now I won't believe any of the bs they advertise
