Insurance Co. made me laugh..

I just picked up my Evo last Fri. So I call my insurance company and they give me my new rate of 1049 for the year. Thats not bad, but today I get my insurance cards in the mail with a note that says: My abbreviated version
We normally do not insure such high powered cars with such a low curbg weight, we are only doing this because you are a current customer. We would not open a new policy for someone buying this car.
WTF I am 28 years old not a kid. Give me a break.
Rant over!

I think insurance companies should be forced to lick certain parts of the anatomy of certain farm animals, they have no problem taking your cash every month, but when it comes time to pay out a claim, they want nothing to do with it. I had to put up a month fight to replace a 150 dollar stereo that stolen out of my old truck a few years back, i mean wtf! I paid more than that every month.

Ya, my old insurance company told me (with and attitude) "we don't cover the racing wings, only original parts" I told her everything on that car is stock including the wing, and the $1000 FMIC on the front.... She didn't have much to say after that...

Even funnier, my insurance card shows my VIN and says Lancer OZ next to it, all I ever gave them was the VIN when insuring it

You should be careful. For all you know, the total amount of insurance payout you're entitled to may be no more than an OZ Lancer. The insurance agreement should state the exact car that's being insured. Just be careful you don't get played out by those insurance scum.

Odd that Erie wouldn't open a new policy for the Evo. I wonder if they'd insure a Corvette, 911, NSX, etc?

Why would you even make a claim for a $150 stereo?
