Wutz up guys, I have a 2001 Jetta Bora VR6 with a few mods,low miles ,and in excellent condition. Ive ahd a few offers for it ranging from 13900-14900 for the car, so i obviously plan on selling it instead of a trade in. And i want to get the new Lancer Evo 8, at this dealer. With tax,titlen' everything its 27900 out the door. But the thing ihavent planned yet was how much the insurance will be. I am 19 years old and in my first year of college, never had any tickets or anything, jus an aver. driver you could say. My question for some people that are in a similar position or knows about this, ..how much will my insurance be? i know you guys arent insurance agents but could aya give me a rough estimate, ...thanks yall.

insurance is gonna kill you. that kind of car for someone under 25 is gonna be really high. there have been some threads with a few numbers, but u should contact ur insurance carrier for a real quote. also, are u from the US? you said you drive a Bora. or did u just mean Jetta/Bora (depending on where we are from).

$420/month!?! i pay $500 every three months. oh man. thats crazy.

 

Hey guys my name is Bryan and i have been lurking for a month so trying to get as munch info on the evo as possible b4 i make a decision on buying one. Anyway the reason im posting is cuz alot of people have posted about their insurnace being ridicolous with the Evo, fortunatley i sell insurance, but have yet to check into what my company would charge, which is something i will do on Monday. But for those who live anywhere in Cali i can see what io might be able to do about getting better rates for you guys. You can also get better rates on your car insurance ( not sure if this is true for every insurane agency, but it is for mine) if you combine other cars, your homeowners, renters with the same company.
