Hi! I ordered a new Voltex GT Hood that is arriving any day for my IX. Have a few questions, if anybody can help, I'd really appreciate it!
Here goes:
*Can I use hood dampners, or is using the OEM rod a must?
(The place I bought the hood from says I CAN use the dampners)
*Additional hood latches (AeroTech)?
(The place I bought the hood from says Voltex Hoods are strong and
additional Aftermarket hood latches are NOT needed)
*Has anyone painted the underside of the hood, or is it taken for granted to leave it unpainted? (I also have the Rain Kit)
*If you painted the UNDERSIDE of the hood, can you post up photos?
*Anyone experience "heat cracks", usually found by the center hood vent?
(I'm using a stainless steel tubular exhaust manifold with no heat shield,
just black heat coating.
My car is mostly a Street Car, with an occasional track day here and there. I'd APPRECIATE responses from people who have/had Voltex Hoods and have experiences with them. Speculators, please don't post.
THANKS for your help!
