So I just picked up my evo and I'm not sure what this wing is. It doesn't look like the others I've seen that have the CF on the inside. It's on an 03 Looks factory everywhere to my untrained eye except for the inside parts not being cf.

 

Looks to me like a 9 wing, they didn't come with carbon fiber on the inside.

 

Yea that is either a 9 wing on if you look closely the cf could be painted. It may have been fading there and they painted the inside and clear coated the rest. I am not positive but I heard a while back that they stopped production on the 8 wings a long time ago so its also possible the original wing broke somehow and this was the only new replacement available.

 

My Question. Whatsup with the hole in the drywall? Gonna put a medicine cabinet in garage? And looks like my wing

 

Looks like a 9 wing or someone painted it. Easiest way to tell is to gently squeeze the middle of the wing. If its solid it is an 8 wing if you can squeeze it at all its a 9 wing. 8 wings are solid core,9 is hollow.

 

Ha the people who owned the house before us didn't have central air so they had a hole in the living room going into the garage that they had a window ac unit in... When we got it I replace the drywall inside the house and had central air put in just haven't gotten around to patching the drywall in the garage
