How to disable the AYC on EVO 9 ?

How can I disable the AYC on EVO 9 ?

On Evo X there is an ASC button and if you hold it for more than 3 seconds then it disables the AYC, but on Evo 9 there is no ASC button....

I don't think the ASC button disables the AYC on the X. Doesn't it just disable traction control?

if you press it once, yes it disables only the ASC / traction control, but if you keep it pressed for more than 3 seconds it also disables the AYC !

There is no AYC on a USDM IX, only ACD. Is the EUDM model equipped with AYC?

The overseas Evo IX has S-AYC, except for the RS model. I think the IX GT also lacks it.

I know, but the 9 I am talking about is EDM model, my X is USDM, I need to disable the AYC on evo 9 for a friend so he can do drifts with the car, because the AYC is not letting you to do handbrake turns how you want...

You don't need to use the handbrake, you know.

I believe you can just pull the fuse for the AYC system, the one attached to the battery I think.

But doing so will just turn it to an open diff.

My understanding when trying the same is that when the handbrake is engage, It will go into open diff to prevent damage just like yogi_b mentioned. I also find it hard to do a proper handbrake turn on mine. Will follow this thread to see if there are any advise.

It's not the handbrake the problem, because on any awd car you press the clutch when you pull the handbreak.
The problem with AYC is that it does not let you drift the way you want. I just want to turn it off, not the entire system, I need the center diff locked so it transfers more power to the real wheels and no AYC.
