When I was looking for evo ppl wanted gold for them. But when you get one you'll appreciate that the price says up. Evo hold their value well. For a 03 evo you can buy at 12 genesis coupe. That's a huge year and miles difference. The car isn't a everyday vehicle like a civic is. They are harder to come by and more rare than a si. Now that they are no longer making them expect the prices not to drop anything soon. A 03 terminator cobra sells for 20k. It's a rarer car. Same as supra, rx7. They are harder to come by. In a unmolested condition is even more rare.

Is it safe to say that the evolution hold their value in the private party value? Because the books give them low prices.

people ask more than what kbb, edmunds, nada gives them...thing that I've noticed with the owners is that they don't want to understand that you will never get back the money you spent in mods etc...

The evo is a niche car, and its a sellers market.

Nor and evokid, hope you guys find ones in good shape, taken care of, and owners whom arent dicks. lol I am on the opposite side of this. I am only locally trying to sell my 9 MR atm (craigslist, still I guess debating if I wanna let her go). I have had numerous texts lowballing the #@%* out of me, offering trades which I'm not looking for, and the like. I did have one serious fellow, but he up and disappeared. Par of the course I guess since its craiglist but I get a kick out of it. Would love for you guys to check my girl out but kinda outta your price point. Good luck tho!

I think14K for a rebuilt Evo is fair, but with these cars you get what you pay for. My car only has 20K mils on it and if I ever sold it I wouldn't take anything less than 32K, but then again mine looks show room new.

does anyone know the difference between a reconstructed title and a rebuilt? for registering purposes what's the difference? it's a Texas reconstructed title and I'm trying to register in Florida...I've had rebuilt title before but never heard of reconstructed...has it passed inspection with this title and would it be a normal registering process?

Just be patient and you will find the Evo you want. I am another SRT4 owner and I love my Evo. SRT was a good bang for the buck (stage 3 340hp) but spinning my tires everywhere got old. I ended up building my 2.4 right after buying mine and I love it.

well I got a good deal going but I want to know what reconstructed is...is it the same as rebuilt? Maybe in Texas they say reconstructed instead of rebuilt?

Sounds like a nice find with some bonuses. Nice work nor and welcome to the family! Which turbo to go for is out of my wheelhouse but in for a build thread since you have been smitten by "that" bug.
