MOD suggestions

As I am approaching the point where I want to mod my evo 8. I know its an expensive car but am not expecting to spend much on this car. I made a quick list of things I want to buy for now and am in need of someother things I should add to the list, opinions needed as I am still trying to keep some of the stuff stock to as the intercooler pipes, intake manifold, exhaust manifold. etc.., opinions needed. Thanks

AEM cam gears
weapon R Dragon intake
M2 exhaust or spyder catback
Evo 9 bov or an aftermarket bov

Have you taken a look at the sticky?
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-100-time.html

I understand the sticky isn't a direct path but it gives you some information on what to do.
What are you goals with the car? I'm assuming daily driving. You should ditch the camgears in your list because changing the timing isn't needed. Also, ditch the bov unless you're planning to run more boost. Get a evo 9 mr crushed bov.

Quick daily driver list:
02 housing
fuel pump (255lph)
intake kit (maf/sd)
upgraded front mount intercooler (3/3.5in) and piping (2.5/3")
turbo back exhaust (hfc/catless/testpipe)
boost controller (ebc/mbc)
wideband and boost gauge (tuning)
~Optional~
Cams (264 or 274's)
Springs/retainers/valves
Turbo (stockplacement/t3)
Injectors (880cc+)
Bov (Needed to hold boost)

Then go get a good tune!

- full 3" turboback exhaust
- lower ic pipe
- 3 port boost solenoid or mbc
- turbo o2 housing
- intake if you want
- walbro 255 fuel pump
-TUNE!

no need for the cam gears.

good luck!

not a fan of the weapon r intake. maybe you should just do a vibrant maf adapter and cone filter. buschur sells one.

I have read multiple times that the stock intake is pretty good for most applications. LICP, exhaust, fuel pump, crushed or mr BOV, 3 port BCS and most importantly a tune should help you see some decent gains.

Most people dont mention it, but a short throw shifter is an amazing mod that you will be using many times every time you drive the car.

I'm not even buying anything yet. Mostly doing my research and seeing whats best for me. People have their thoughts and opinions.

Def stick with well known brands everytime I haven't I've regretted it you either spend more money fabbing the fitment or buying twice cause what you got is garbage
