could you take it to boostin and have them check it out before purchasing? if so that would be ideal, defintly check fluids an do a compression test an also listen for tcase whine, also better make sure itll hit boost fine

Alright guys update. So I went in too check it out and seemed pretty clean from the outside. So first thing I notice I go in to the dealership and I am greeted by two younger guys, they were both pretty chill. They didn't have many cars, but the ones they had were all very clean. I fell in love with the Electric Blue Evo 9, I noticed the ACD Light wasn't on and when I would press it, nothing would happen. The guy told me the previous owner removed it because the T-Case was rebuilt supposedly by shepherd, it also had a very heavy clutch. So my next idea is too have a pre purchase inspection done by Boostin Performance, I will be calling them up in the morning to see how much they charge, then I will contact the dealership and ask if they are okay with this, if they are not I will take that as a red flag and run away.

subscribed. also if you show up and the car is already at temp is a flag. on modded cars it tends to hide cold start issues.

I'm sure its been said, but i'll say it again. Make SURE you get a compression test and boost leak test before you purchase the car. That always helps when dropping big cash on a nice car.

I just bought a evo from these guys. Both of them are real nice guys. Let me look over the car for as long as I wanted. We test drove it for about 45 mins and helped me load it on the trailer. The Process was really easy. I'll give you an update after sometime with the car.

Ask as many questions as you can think of at the dealership, try and get a history report of some kind, drive the car and look it over yourself throughly, have another certified mechanic look over it to find anything you missed and check for paint cracks, chips, color fades, etc... And bring a friend to look it over too, a fresh set of eyes never hurts or they may get a red flag that you don't since you badly want the car.

I live about 20 minutes from that place and I was just there Friday. The guy told me the same thing about the blue one. He started it for me cold and it ran just fine from cold to operating temp. They wouldn't let me test drive it though so I left... Im not gonna buy a car I can't drive.

Boni426 - You bought the RR ix RS right. Nice car.

Born to Feel - If you need help with anything let me know. Im obviously local and I know turbo cars and 4G63's well.

Were u buying it right then and there or just ready to go on a joy ride? Im sure if you were ready to deal, you would go on a test drive. Lookers and window shoppers generally don't get to test drive performance cars at most dealers. I don't get why people get upset about not being able to just test drive whatever they want.

I mean, if you were seriously buying a performance car, would you want 10-15 other kids/people beating the **** out of the car on a test drive, then getting the keys handed to you? Just my opinion

Im not upset, I just don't believe in buying an 8 year old car without a test drive. I don't think thats unreasonable at all... I don't want to joyride for 30 minutes. Just want to feel the clutch, hear the engine, feel the suspension, etc.. Im not asking to drive a brand new Ferrari. Even if 10 people came in and drove the car 2 miles a pc its not gonna change the value of the car. And i know that there is a risk someone will tear up a car, but thats just the price of doing business.... Thats why they have insurance (Well they are supposed to have insurance).

Ive gone to plenty of dealerships just window shopping and they insist on just about everyone of them have pushed me into cars to drive. Thats how most dealerships sell there cars. I walked into a Tesla dealership a few weeks ago and they insisted I drove a car even after I told them there is no way I could afford one..

I don't want 10-15 people beating on a car before I buy it but most sales people can read people to some extent. Im in my mid 30's, I was dressed well, and pulled up in a $30K car.
