Good place to buy IAC (Idle Air Control Valve/Motor)?
I have a 2003 Evolution VIII and over the past 120,000 miles (10-years) I've replaced my IACM 3-times. I always buy used since new cost ~$300 and used cost ~$80. Anyone know of a good place to buy these new, used or re-built? Apparently they are a common fail point on my car.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Amazon less than 1/3 of the OEM Evo pieces price.

^YES, Amazon and make sure you get the the design as the two posted above.... It will have the spring on the outside.
I too had to replace my IAC a few times and once I replaced it with a newer design (same as posted above) I have not had one issue and it has been on there a few years....bought used.

Thanks Ethan, I understand it isn't OEM but since my original and (used) replacement OEM IACVs failed, I get the feeling this is a common replacement part and I'd rather go knock-off to save $250, who knows, maybe it will even hold up better.

They will not hold up any better then the stock one btw. Probably worse if anything. But gsr is correct that the cheap one will work just fine. Its the same one that the sebring uses and the galant too I believe. There's also a third option for these that are made by "standard". Price wise they fall in between the stock one and the cheap one and imho are just as good as oem.

Understood. Look into Standard Motors version too. About $150 and as good as stock. That amazon one will work but its made of really REALLY cheap plastic. I am holding one in my hand right now and again this plastic is CHEAPO.
My bad for bringing up an old thread, just thought this was also some useful information.
