Are people cutting the hood liner underneath the vents to allow the engine bay to vent heat to atmosphere? I never did. I'm wondering if the heat is an issue. Maybe even just cut the little slits in the liner?

 

I took it off and threw it in the garbage

 

Cool, did you have any problems with the carbon and the heat? I'm guessing no since it is carbon and supposedly heat resistant.

Throw away all that garbage that comes with the cf hood. ie the chicken coop mesh, and deco vent. Use your stock hood mesh and vent. The stock metal vent won't match up like stock because its missing some of the attachment points but you can make it work. Bigger washers
