He also said he was tight on cash. I figured he could pickup a cheap set with adapters for <$50

Mount the ballasts somewhere on the car and figure out how you're gonna seal the headlights when you plug the new ballast in

The car has 9006 headlight plugs from the factory, getting an AMP ballast is a bad idea. Get a D2S ballast with a standard 9006 plug and you're good to go.
I am Truying to keep this under 100$. If money wasn't an issue. I would buy new oem ballasts.
You guys confused me now.

My headlight plug is chopped of my wirring harnes. I will get plugs and wire everything up myself. I just need to know for sure what kit to buy that will work with oem 8/9 hid headlights.
Thanks guys.

My car is a 06 Gsr that did not come with hids. I got hid headlights for a good deal because the ballasts where shoot.
OK let's start over again, you have a 2006 GSR that has the factory halogen wiring? Or you have a 2006 GSR that came with the factory HID wiring?

I think a lot of people are confused, the 2006 models halogen uses either a 9006 low beam, or the HID factory uses D2S bulbs for the low beam. Each set has it's own wiring. Which one is yours?

If you dont know or you are not sure, a picture would help out a lot.

Car is a non hid regular headlights. I got hid headlights that either have the ballasts burned out or the bulbs. All I am looking for is a kit that will plug into the hid headlights and ill wire it up to get power from one of the 4 wires that go to the headlights.

Sorry if I confused you guys. Just want to get this done. I got the hight beams to work and been driving like that for a while.

Thanks again.
