Great story man. I've been a BMW guy my whole life. Almost got a IX RS new back in 06 but got an M3 instead. Still have the M3 but have finally scratched the Evo itch I've had and bought a cosmic blue '14 GSR. Loving it solar.. These are special cars.

I was gonna say I still love the sound.

Nothing sounds better then a Front Facing, Speed Density tuned evo. Even normal shifting makes me laugh sometimes.

THIS. You have to be an all out evo guy to understand the passion. I LOVE these cars. I love everything about them to the point i find myself making excuses for the short comings and usually saying things like "Its an evo, its not meant to be(insert something here)". I hope these cars never die and people hold on to them, they are special. I got bashed on the evoxforums for saying I dont like how a Z06 handles/feels and that an evo feels more precise to me..oh well. Fanboyism i guess.

My father owns a bolt on C6 Z06, I have no experience with the C7, although i dont find it attractive unless in Z06 trim. The vette feels numb to me, and just not agile or confidence inspiring(tail kicks out too easily). Just my opinion, still a fun highway car for me.
