Random High RPM/Throttle stickyness

Story thus far:

It's been doing this since I bought it. Just recently went to CBRD and got the car leak checked and tuned.

Here are the symptoms:

- randomly idles at 1500 rpm and sometimes a throttle tap helps
- when decelling (no wide band) and the car goes under 2k the wideband kicks on when I don't touch the throttle
-after shifts the rpms raise slightly before lowering (not touching throttle)
-sometimes the throttle feels "sticky" when I go to get on the gas.

Car is an 05 evo 8.

There are a couple of threads about this, but they are just mostly people fight about driver mod and random crap, can anyone help me?

Throttle cable is in the stock location, just lubed it up and made sure it was nice and tight and the issue still exists.

When the car is supposed to be decelling and isn't, if I punch the throttle really quick itll go back to decelling.

Where is the IAC?

Got the IACV off.

When I put the car on it clicked and moved a bit. I tested the resistantance of pins 1&3 and 4&6 to 65 ohms

I read somewhere that it should be 30ish ohms?

I'm surprised no one mentioned this.

The throttle body shaft seals wear out and stick. Replace them with high pressure ones. That way you'll never have to worry about them again!

Bump. From what I've been reading on here it appears to be an ECU issue? There still seems to be a lot of confusion although this issues seems pretty common on 05s

Check the butterfly plate on the throttle body make sure it's not sticking. Your seals might be leaking too, but I doubt that's the problem. Any codes? It could be multiple things man, TPS, IACV, tune etc. Do make sure that the IAC has the o-ring that goes with it, if not it idle messed up.

IAC looked okay, TPS looked okay. I pulled apart the UICP the the throttle seemed to be closing fine, it was a tad squeaky though.

Car was just tuned at CBRD so I dont think its that, I've been reading about Idle Stepper tables or something

This car did have throttle body seals that were a bit sticky-

they were sprayed with a non petro. based lubricant- which seemed to help adequately- however it appears its doing so again-

We may need to take another look at her!

let me know!
