I want to post some parts for sale and I needed 15 posts to do so which I have and I am still not allowed to post in the forsale section. My question is - do I have to wait after my 15 posts for my account to be activated or something?

You need to have 15 posts and be registered at forum minimum 15 days. I have the same situation.

 

wait until your account has been active for 15 days then you can see it.
