Just to clarify my thought on monitoring service - people who are tuning would want immediate feedback. I.E. if the engine wasn't running smooth, they can go home, and pull the data to their PC or Laptop and analyze it right away; rather than waiting for an update to come saying "your engine is running too rich". People who just wanted it for the factor probably wouldn't want to pay a subscription for the info.

gotcha. good point. although maybe some less-savvy users would be happy just plugging it in, DLing the calibration, and going on their merry way, i'm not sure. the upside of a subscription service is steady revenue, though you're right in that it may not have a broad enough appeal to make it worthwile.
