Evo VIII Tach Dims from Headlights

Hey guys,

Over the past few weeks I've noticed my tach dims whenever I turn my headlights on. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this before and what the problem was? My boost gauge over the steering wheel flickers when I turn them on too.

Another thing is my front side markers do not light up on the fenders and none in the headlights either, just curious if anyone has encountered this issue as well. Looking forward to seeing the responses, as I hate electrical wiring.

Thanks in advance guys.

Depending where I position my dimmer mine flickers at times when it's dim like yours is.

Try turning up the dimmer switch a bit and see if it stays bright. Mine does. If not I think that is a ground problem you have to find out where though.

The dimmer switch really seemed to make no difference but thank you for the suggestion.

Get a voltmeter tester and see how much voltage drops. I had to replace my alternator for a similar issue. It's a giant pain in the *** to replace but very doable from the top drivers side. Get your battery checked also.
