experience with quick release steering hubs?

looking to build a light weight steering wheel/shaft for my street car. I guess I am somewhat worried about play in the hub if its quick release. they come in four styles. splined or six sided nut. and 360 or button release. anybody have experience here?

your best best would be the spline. They have the best feel out of them all.

On my street car I use a works bell hub and quick release and it works fine. On my race car I am using a Sparco quick release, they are FIA certified, also it is splined.

I did more research. and found I think its an area where you dont want to get the cheapest thing out. I went from planning to use a 50$ hub to using a 350$ one. I like the works bell rapfix the best.

I like the Sparco QR. Bonus as it is FIA cert if you do more with the car later...

i have the NGR quick release. I has a buttom u push then you pull out the spring loaded sleeve like the one in the video. it also locks together the same as the one in the video and mine has absolutely no play. and I have never had an issue.
