Aftermarket steering wheel

I need a quick-release steering wheel setup. It looks like I will need a hub? Do I get the "short hub" since I need to add a quick release? Do certain hubs only work with certain quick releases? and do all quick releases work with all steering wheels?

I'm thinking it goes:

steering column-> hub -> quick release -> wheel

I'd like the wheel to end up about where it is, stock. I plan to use a Sparco wheel, so whichever bolt pattern that is.

Thanks, in advance.

Ya pretty much just a short hub. I forget which one mine has but i'm using the OMP wheel with the straight bottom. There's a write up here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...l-install.html
Edit: Mine is a works bell short hub.

Just went though this my self. Can't set up a quick release without an aftermarket hub. I Bought the aftermarket Hub from NRG, and their quick release set up. Found it on Amazon for about 200$ total. It sounds like there are better options out there band wise, but I was in a bind at the time and the quality has been good in my opinion.

Okay, that's what I was finding. My only other concern is does the quick-release hub fit all steering wheel bolt patterns? I saw hubs for specific wheels.. so not sure if i need a specific quick release.

Most off the shelf tuner quick releases will fit many varieties of wheels. I run a works bell aluminum hub with a NRG short QR and a deep corn Nardi (Ive also fit a momo, personal wheel on the same QR)

What I looked for was when I bought the quick release for the evo, I just bought sparco wheel that matched the bolt pattern. I did notice when I was purchasing wheels that there are about 3 different bolt patterns

Good info. I'm hopeful. Vendors seem to not know which fits what LOL

Bumping this up. Anyone know if an after market wheel/hub will work with the OE clock spring for ABS/ACD?
