A important question!
My Evo is my 2nd car. My daily driver is a POS but it gets me from point a to b just fine and goes in the snow. If you have the means I would suggest to get a beater car just because you will enjoy the EVO more if you dove it once in a while instead of everyday.

The Evo is my third car following a 93 Trans Am and an 02 Trans Am. The introduction of the Evo in the US caused me to sell my TA and betray my muscle car heritage. LOL ;P The only thing that can equal and Evo is an STI but I prefer the Evo's harder ride. My next car will be a Skyline. Theres nothing that can really compare to an AWD sports car. Its my daily driver in California. Take it the canyons every other weekend.
Well the evo is "my car" and the other one is "her car". Mine gets me back and forth to work and simple errands, but I don't encounter stop-and-go traffic much. If you price a soft, quiet ride then the evo is not the car you want -- simply put, it is what it is; fast and loud. I rather like driving it to and from work, except when I'm stuck in stop-and-go traffic because I feel so restricted.
Its a daily driver and I love it my only complaint is the city I live In (Chicago) people cant parallel park for f*ck and my bumbers have paid the price but hey thats what body kits are for and paintless dent removal
I'm holding off for the MR, and have a daily driver I'm keeping. My brother and many friends have Evos and I wring them out on the track frequently and also daudle with them around town. THey make great daily drivers for enthusiasts who don't have to deal with sitting in traffic eating up your clutch going from 0-10mph over and over on the highway.. The real question you should ask yourself is can you live with a track monster like the Evo without going to the track.. If you don't plan to take it to the local road circuit and understand exactly what this car is all about, you're doing it and yourself a huge disservice.. It can handle mundane driving fine. But it longs for the track and until you take it out, you really have no idea what your missing. It should be criminal to have one and not drive it in it's intended habitat.. Enjoy they are supurb rides.

It's been 10 months and 22000 miles and I am still happy. I drive about 10 miles to work (Chicago) over some pretty bad roads and I don't mind.
I've read maybe five threads from people who've regretted buying an Evo. You know you want the car when you're asking minor questions like this. JUST BUY IT.
