A important question!

Guys, How do you feel about having you Evo VIII as a daily driver? Do you every feel like you should buy a beater and use your Evo for weekends only? Or do you feel that the point of owning it is to driver it all the time?

Response's would be great. Also I would happy to hear what you say.

Voi

I drive mine at least 61 miles per day (work). And it's been great, it's a car, not a work of art, it was made to have the ever living **** beat out of it. Of course that being said, I promised myself before I bought it that I would never succum to the temptation of launching it. I still haven't, but other than that, the world is my apex.

For me, it's ideal. I drive through light traffic, and the Evo makes that very, very easy. In my old car I couldn't pass sombody if I wanted to! People may say the ride is stiff or whatever, but the way the cabin is designed (seats, driving position, etc.) it's really quite nice! Plus I love talking to people about the car, and many people ask.

I drive my car 50+ miles a day.. 16000 miles, original clutc, original brakes, original tires, and I'm not very nice/careful with the car.. Its just a car, and it needs to be driven.. Don't fall into the "stare at it in the garage" thing, I already go through that and it just takes alot of the fun away from it. Admittedly the car is not good in the snow, but that is the tires and it that can be fixed easily.

The more I modify the car, the more fun it is to drive every day. And I have to admit, although it requires more attention to detail when maintaining it (good quality service parts, and of course, replacement parts are slightly more expensive than other cars) Its really an amazing vehicle.. I handles unlike most anything I've driven, its relatively quick (in its stock form), and it really offers a fairly practical package for driving all day. Some may say the suspension is a little harsh.. Its firm, but I don't mind it and once I got used to it, I don't notice it at all.. Its got plenty of storage room, 4 doors, comfortably seats 5 people.. This car is meant to be driven and enjoyed..

If I got another car as a "Beater", It would be ANOTHER EVO, but it would remain stock.. Thats how much I love these cars..

I have the evo for an everyday car and have no complaints. If I were to get a second car it would only be to spare my evo my mundane ride to work, where it doesn't matter what your driving your not going fast.

Having a position in sales means I am always on the road. What better way to have a great day than daily driving the EVO. It just seems to make the day a little more enjoyable. Not to mention the timliness of never being late to an appointment. Gotta love the handeling and power. As my daily driver I have 8k on it and have only had it 4 mos.

Gee no clutch problems hehehe.

I like the Evo with all the noise and stiff ride. If I bought another car, I would have modded it in hopes it would drive just like the Evo. But why waste time, just buy an Evo and make it even better with mods. Of course, people who are not tuners should think clearly first.
I wouldn't mind having a Prius as a second car since gas price is $2.40 and will rise even higher in the summer .

Why not drive this car in the winter? What a waste leaving it locked up in the garage when clearly the AWD drive was made for winter fun. I bought mine in December and have driven it almost daily since, I love it. Makes me smile everytime I hit the boost

I have a "beater" and its nice to be able to go to the malls, NYC etc without caring about the next ******* who wants to mess with it. Plus long trips are easy in an automatic

27000 miles on my Evo. It's been a great daily driver for a whole year (whole year as of this week actually)!
