I have never taken my car to the dealer. As soon as it left the lot it never returned. Double so once it got tuned. Unfortunately the dealer is just not equipped to handle repairs on a modified car. That goes for all makes.

When you reflash an ecu it will not fry the computer if there was a tune already done. It will just make it go back to stock settings. Now if they are telling you that they had to pull the ecu apart in order to do it then there it is, they fried the ecu because they may have had static and touch the mother board or grounded the ecu incorrectly (I work at a dealer and this does happen at times-but my dealer will stand up for what they did and take care of it at no charge whenever it is our fault). So it sounds like the dealer messed up and fried the ecu and expects you to pay for it. Just threaten them with BBB or BAR and they will change their attitude real quick...good luck dude.

 

their BBB page already has multiple accusations of lying and dishonesty, so I guess they just don't care, that's how they make their money.

 

Thanks for all the support guys. While im touched by the offer to help monetarily I would have to decline, theres a billion more worthy causes than I. I will continue the fight on Monday, thanks for the BBB idea, it hadnt occured to me, this is certainly complaint worthy.
