Totaled? :(

Well I was on my way to work, some stupid guy ran his red thinking it would turn green before I cleared the intersection, slammed into me at around 40 mph...

Driver door jammed won't open, passenger door, quarter panel, wheel, suspension parts, bumper, tail light, side skirt, vortex generator, above passenger door, all affected.... Am I looking at a salvaged car now?... Total loss? Wait for adjuster to inspect it. Should be going next week do to thanksgiving.

I'm thinking over 10k in damages atleast

My poor baby...

UPDATE- got a call from my insurance today, said its repairable, said looks like around 10k worth of damage, but once the take it all apart I'm sure it will be more but since they gave them the ok it should be repaired. Only bad thing is since no witnesses from the crash I'll have to go through my insurance so my rates will go up...

That sucks man sorry to hear that. If you can buy it back and get some cash on top Id do that. Hell even if you just get it back even up, you can part it out for a good deal of money. Or put the engine in a tube chassis, up to you...

Very sorry! But, don't write this car off just yet! Alot of speculation going on! Wait for the Insurance Adjuster to look at it...Best of luck! Let us know what happens!

Damn that sucks man. At least he didn't hit your driver door and take you out too. I would definitely check into buying it back as parting it out could make you some money, or possibly swap the drive train into another evo with an engine problem. Sucks to see another evo 9 bite the dust, there are not enough of them around!

Looks like a lot more than 10 of damage to me! Use to work at a body shop back in the day. Also wrecked my evo before with less body damage than that and it was well over 10g. Sucks man, know the feeling. I hate seeing wrecked evos. Specially when it wasn't your fault.

they may elect to fix it my 03 evo 8 had 12k in damage and they still elected to fix it. I was hoping they would total and i would buy back. but if they do total yours i would estimate the buy back somewhere around 6k
