Advice on buyin a 03 evo 8..

Might consider looking for a rolling shell and then just put in a new built motor. Any ~14k Evo 8 will likely require some work.

yeah, i wouldn't do it. from my personal experience, it's much better to just buy a clean evo 8, unmolested, and do the mods yourself. check out craigslist - that's where i got my evo from - once in a while there's a hidden gem on there. got mine there about a year or so ago it was definitely a little jem

yeah at this point im going to keep looking, not in a rush at all.

thanks for all the advice!

this one just doesnt seem like its worth what hes asking and the work that may be needed to get it back to the condition it should be at.

Yeah if i cant find anything in my range or a littel above in my area may look into this seeing there is a few shells in my area.

Anytime a potential seller says a shop did some work on a car.......call the shop. They should have records of work performed.

he did give me a number in which i called, and was told they dont have any records due to one of the employees did the car for him self, but at the shop.. far to sketchy to buy at 13-14k at this rate lol.
