6266 will make it definitely. The 6466 will easily pass it. If you want the room for the future go with the 6466

Will the 6466 really out perform the 6266 in top end by alot or just barely?

By a lot. It's a much bigger turbo. You also now have the option to get the Gen 2 version for both the 6266 and 6466. These are even crazier with air flow/power.

The 6266 will get you there but the 6466 offers more room for a few hundred rpm in lag.
Here are a couple dyno pulls of the Gen 1 6266 and Gen 2 6266 on a 2.3 dsm. This car made 829whp

6466 IMO. the spool difference between the two is a few hundred RPM with a the 6466 having a much better top end

6466. The spool between the two is very close.

I say 6466. You're gonna want to make more eventually.

If you are looking to make 700 hp on a mustang dyno not VD or dyno jet you want to go with the 6466

I am a big fan of the smallest turbo to hit your HP goals. A turbo that spools faster a way more fun on the street. I am running a 3586 with a tial .63 hotside and I hit 20psi at 4600rpm in 3rd, and make 700whp at 32psi on e85. I am pretty sure I could have gone the 3582 on the 63 hotside and been able to touch the 700whp make also.

6466 is not as laggy as many people think. I see 40psi @5,100rpm. 2.0L and T3/0.82a/r.

Don't mean to hi-jack the thread, I'm buying a gen2 6466 soon and tossing up between the t3 .82 or v band .82. Are there any benefits from choosing 1 over the other?
