Just spoke to Buschur-What do you think?

Well I am going to do fliuid changes on trans and diffs soon. Being that buschur racing has been drag racing dsm's for years and now the Evo VIII I thought I would ask them what fluids would be the best choice for longevity and wearability for a car that is going to see a little track time. The answer I got kinda surprised me, Jarrod said OEM Mitsubishi is the way to go. What do you guys think ? What are you using in your cars?

AS long as you replace your fluids at the required intervals OEM Fluid will be fine. Also the Dealship can't deny warnenty by claiming you used something other than OEM fluid. I put Redline in my tranny(the one on the car not a dude with *****) and It seemed to make shifting smoother, but I used OEM stuff in the diffs

I had the dealer change mine at 5000 miles with OEM stuff. That way if there were problems, they would see them and not have to take my word for it. I've also had zero problems with the drivetrain. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.

i dont see why not use what OEM recommends , maintance is always + , making sure you are keeping track to went your car is do for fluid changes . they have also 2 types of maintance schedules on the owners manual , one for regular driving and the other for if you are more aggressive , as long as you keep up with whats required i dont see why you should have any issues with running OEM fluids .....

That sounds very reasonable. But I still have a question. What exactly is the OEM fluid? Fully synthetic? Semi-synthetic? Any idea what brand the OEM stuff is?

I'd also like to stick with OEM for the reason you mentioned, but would be willing to go with full synthetic (Redline or whatever) if it would make a significant difference.

I prefer the feel of the non-OEM fluids. BG Syncroshift made the car **** smoother and shell Helix feels even better than BG. On the other hand, don't get into the mindset that a stainless line is going to save your clutch and non OEM fluid is going to save your transmission.
