Where to find PAINTED JDM Rear bumper?

I'm looking for a PAINTED JDM Rear bumper- I'd like to think that there are still some available somewhere (I have a Wicked White MR). Any help would be much appreciated....

Well there aren’t. Mitsubishi hasn’t painted them in years. We are lucky we can even still get the bumper You could get a shop to paint it before they sell it for the right price I’m sure.

You aren't going to find one painted unless you pick one up from a member on here...why not get it painted at a local body shop?

Also, just curious is your car an MR or an SSL?

You'll need the bumper, tow hook cover, and JDM/modified USDM/custom crash bar.

Yeah I figured this was the case- but I'm willing to bet there is a random warehouse/vendor somewhere in the states that still has a painted jdm rear .

I just figured it would be nice to skip the hassle of getting it painted- a sense of satisfaction knowing the paint is OEM is really what I was after.

And to answer your question it's an SSL- but really I see the SSL as a variant of an MR....

here she is in all her glory:

Thank you sir- but from the research I've done it seems that the usdm/custom crash bar is optional. Although, I did find this piece which does look tempting....

The search continues...

Optional or not, it's you that has to explain it to your insurance adjustor it that ever come up. There are also too many Nascar-qualifying-wannabes around here for me and mines to ride around with no crash bar in the back.

Not to thread hijack, but I just want to clarify something you stated. The MR is quite different from the SSL

The MR has a 6 speed transmission, aluminum roof, extra gauges, and better bilstein shocks. The SSL does not have these. Instead it has a different stereo system with amplifier, subwoofer and slightly upgraded speakers, as well as leather and a sunroof on a steel roof.

Keep in mind you have several years of fade on your paint not to mention the WW mix used can have very slight differences but enough to see differences in shade colors in different light settings. So, while you want a painted one--it might not be the match you think it will be...just a thought. There was a dealer on ebay selling the jdm bumpers for a great deal, picked mine up for under 550 delivered--yes, real mitsu jdm bumper-- that 1/2 of any thread price I have seen and sure to cover the paint job that matches exactly the color I have and not just by paint code. This was just last month--- good luck.

I have a 6 speed transmission, along with bilstein shocks- it even has the 'MR' badge under the shifter. The gauges I could live without and I'll be replacing the roof with an ams carbon fiber unit.

Those are all very valid points- my car is so clean I didn't even consider the fact that the paint just might have some fade.. I know the dealer you're talking about, it's about 30 minutes away from me actually- I plan on picking one up this weekend- thanks for the advice .

Then yours is custom. Your statement of "the SSL being as a variant of the MR" is false, or to be more precise "No more a variant than any other version of the IX"
