Guys,I want to relocate battery to the trunk.how you guys attached the tray to trunk floor? Welded or just drilled the floor or how ?thanks

 

I used a taylor aluminum box. Drilled holes through the floor. Mounted it behind the driver rear tire. Make sure you use 1/0 cable for your power to the front of the car, and the ground (I grounded it to the driver rear strut mount bolt). Welding lead works really well (high strand count), is relatively cheap, and EXTREMELY flexible. I ran the cable along the along the driver side, under the kick panel molding, and through the grommet in the driver front fender well..

 

Thanks man.so did you use self tapping screws?for power I use 4 AWG ultra flex power cable.

 

I drilled clearance holes through the trunk floor. My box is held down with 4 3/8" screws and nuts. Use stainless steel hardware. Don't cheap out and get galvanized steel.
