My Evolution Wont Start...

Just recently finished up my clutch install....just buttoned everything up and was going to start the car and nothing.

All the dash lights come on radio and accessories..., when I turn the the radio goes off and the clock does the same thing. also when I turn the key to start the car I can hear the fuel pump. Sometimes I hear a clicking noises as well. The car will not turn over what so ever.

I've read a few threads stating that it could be the starter. And I'm leaning towards that, but does anyone have any advice what else to check?

Yeah. I forgot which one it was. But I did put it back on. It's bolt/ground/bell housing right?

If your looking at the flywheel I put it on the left one. Should that matter?

Thanks.

How long was the car down for? Any chance the battery is just weak?

I'm assuming the batter is just horribly weak. I bought a used PC680, tried to jump it and nothing. Even tried using my old battery still got nothing.

Are the battery cables completely tight on the battery posts? You should not be able to move them at all.

As snug as can be. Is there a way to self test the starter?

What about the starter remote wire that connects to the starter? should be a black female spade connector.

Neutral safety switch? Is the the clutch pedal switch as well? That is also disabled/unplugged for my remote start. I did however plug it back in to try it...and still got nothing.

Are you talking about the small black plug above the power wire? Yes that has been plugged in and out numerous times.

So I took ouy my starter again. The top bolt to my starter is stripped and I cant get a torque on it. It was snug, but not as snug as I wanted. Could this be the culprit?
