Question Fuel Pressure to high

Hi everyone, I have a 2003 Evo 8 and just installed a Walbro 450 and a Fuel Lab fuel pressure regulator. The setting on the regulator is turned all the way down and I am still receiving 60 psi at idle. Any ideas? Thanks in advanced.

Thats a huge pump! What do you expect? If you go with bigger dia. fuel line that should drop the pressure some

Is it safe to be running a pressure that high? I bought a return kit from STM and I was letting it warm up yesterday and blew a hole in one of the return lines

No, it should be at 43psi. Did it adjust down to 60 or does the regulator not do anything?

The regulator adjust's the pressure between regulator and pump, then bleed's off the rest to the return. It will then raie the pressure at a 1:1 ratio per psi of boost. Why do you think a larger return line would make it any better? I would do the feed line. However, i don’t think you need to and the issue is the regulator.

You need to adjust the nut UPWARD on the regulator to reduce the pressure.

that's static fuel pressure... sounds like you need to increase the size of the return line for sure, to lower the base fuel pressure
