Hello everyone,
I took off my TB to send it in to Mil-spec for a rebuilt due to my stock seals leaking. I emaile Aby to see what I need to send in with it but I haven't heard anything yet. My question is, anybody who send their throttle body in To have the seals replaced did you guys send the TB with all the sensors? Also where do you exactly send it too? I go on their website but there isn't any adress or anything. Here is the website http://www.mil-spec.org/cart.php can someone who's done this point me to the right direction please. I want to send in my TB first thing in the morning so that I can get it back on time oh and how long does it usually take? I live in CA.

The TB you send needs to have the throttle position sensor still on it.

I've done the cross ship core service method twice already for two different cars. The address I have is 3 years old so I'd wait for Aby to respond just to be sure. I'll PM you the one I got.

 

is it just having the seals replaced? I would consider doing it yourself.... it is very simple, and takes maybe two hours removing, rebuilding, and installing.

 

Ya it's just the seals. Do you guys know the HP rating on the stock TB and the intake manifold is?

 

The stock tb and im aren't really a restriction until you really start making power. What are your goals?

 

I'm looking for around 400 to 410 whp. I'm not trying to go too crazy. Unfortunately I live in CA where everything is illigal lol

 

you'll be FINE on a stock TB at that level. especially considering you're in CA and it's not worth the hassle of having aftermarket where not needed. If it's going to mil-spec already why not get it ported and never think about it again? you can do 800hp through one if need be...
