Doubtful. Issues of residency will come up. If you want to spend several years here as a citizen of another country, you need to have a Visa. I think they'd know if you were trying to cheat the system and not allow the car to reenter the country. And once you become a citizen, you can't bring the car in. If it were for like three months out of the year, you might be able to get away with it, but that's several thousands of dollars a year, just transporting it (since I bet the car has to go back to the country it belongs in) and you have to pay duty fees every time it enters the country. With all that money you can sell it and buy a new car when you get here.
Yes I am interested to know this too. Might bring mine back if it's possible to have it street legal with out too much hassle now that the 8 is already there.
