My Evo on the DYNO...

Went to RedShift Motorsports; dyno last night. It is a dynopack dyno.

My power mods are:

RMR intake filter/induction pipe
Ultimate Racing Turbo-back exhaust (catless)
Unorthodox Racing crank Pulley
Greddy Emanage (Fuel/ignition control)
Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump

NO BOOST CONTROLLER!

EDIT: 4th gear pulls, 94 octane gas, A/F at 11.5 at redline

313 HP / 266 Torque

Any thoughts.

Nice dyno sheet. I wonder where the torque went?

looks good to me, it's good that the hp doesn't fall off too much, (torque always does no matter what)

The E-Manage is a sweet unit, especially for the price. Nice numbers.

Get a damn boost controller and a Walbro pump and really see what the bad boy can do!

I do have a Walbro, I just put it in 2 days ago and forgot to add it. I don't have any boost control because it is illegal in the Autocross class I run in (ESP).

trbo dad, you should get dynoflash a lot of dyno sheets i've seen have the torque exactly where the hp is (look at evo8power) anyway it also eliminates the boost taper (helpful if you don't have a boost controler)

Damn, I was about to explain how dynapack dyno's don't give SAE corrected numbers for torque, and went to all the trouble of calculating the torque value using the HP value at the torque peak (190 HP at 3750 RPM) plugged into this page:

http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...ls/torque.html

But I came up with exactly the same torque number as you have on the graph!

I am guessing that in your case you chose to not use the SAE correction factors on your HP output?

Look along the left side of the graph. It says "SAE Corrected."

Strange! I was told by Dan over at Godspeed that you can't do corrected torque on a dynapack. Sort of pisses me off that I have to calculate my corrected torque, but you got yours strait from the horses mouth

Nice numbers. How much tweaking of the emanage map did you do? Send me a copy? Did you happen to datalog timing? I'm betting you either had some knock around that torque dip, or timing needs to be advanced there to pick it up some.

I actually think it is from not having a boost controller -- the boost spikes and then it overcompensates and drops down too far before leveling off.

I will send you the map. I have to get it off of my laptop first though. I didn't do much with the timing.

Something is definitely wrong with that dyno chart. Look where the torque and hp lines cross. Shouldn't they cross at 5252? Is that a result of the Y axis right and the Y axis left being different values?

The graph is fine, they just used different ranges for the HP and torque numbers. If you use the same range for both they cross at 5252.
